C.C.A - A New Image at K.V.Vigyan Vihar (The challenge of change)
Our new design in the C.C.A arena shows a shift from the "mere compete" to "train and then compete" mode.
The Strategy
We train our students with relevance and utility in day to day living on the following core competencies.
The school aims at fostering and advocating compatibility and congeniality, with an endeavour to assist the students in realizing their talents.
The school has been divided into four houses- Brahmputra, Ganga Kaveri and Krishna, which have their respective House Captains, vice-captains and prefects Inter-House and Interschool activities are a regular feature of the Vidyalaya .
Exposure is very important for the holistic growth of the children.
Following interhouse competition have been conducted during the session to create a sense of fulfillment and creativity among the students.
1- Calligraphy English (Seniors & Juniors)

3-Creative writing workshop (Seniors) (IX-XII)
4-Story writing competition (Juniors) (VI-VIII)
The students wholeheartedly participated in these competitions.The vision is to provide learning opportunities for the students to help grow into autonomous human beings. Quiz, news, thought community singing and Mass PT are the regular feature of the Morning Assembly School is promoting games and sports in a generous manners .It has a good sports team which actively participates in sports activities.
Competency based training is imparted by various Houses.
1. General Knowledge :
It is negotiated by the various clubs operating in the Vidyalaya. It has features like experimentation, identification and audio visual rounds. Latest from the fields of Maths, Science, Literature, Art, Music, Nature, Sports and Consumer is given to the students.

Music soothes the soul and raises the spirit. The Music club has gone to the forefront. It gives a platform for growth and expression. It trains the students in singing, dancing, monoacting, mimicry and instrumental music.The areas taken up for training are :

4. Art :
To kindle the imagination of the students and to bring out the magical strokes, training is imparted in sketching, Painting, Colouring, Clay Modeling and Pot Painting.
5. SUPW:
Practical useful training is provided for girls and boys.
Boys: Book binding, Cardboard work, Clay, Plaster of Paris work, Electrical gadgets.
6. Yoga :
The club offers great opportunity to those who have supple body and flexible limbs. The students are involved in meditation, asanas and other exercises during morning assembly. This keeps their mind sound and body fit. Above all they are stress free.
7. Language Skills :
An organisation with bilingual distinction provides rich opportunities to the Vidyalaya to honour, Hindi as well as English, for the same platform. Hindi "MAS" is celebrated in Vidyalaya every year with all Sanctity & Solemnness of heart. A programme of councelling in English language is also duly followed in Vidyalaya in all classes.
How we go about our " train and compete" sessions:
Each student chooses the competency of his/her choice for the academic year where they are trained before the competition by different Houses.
A minimum Syllabus is completed by each House as per action plan.
After two or three sessions of training a competition is organized.
Varied talents of all the teachers is the most important resource for us.
Experts are invited whenever necessary and talented students are included in the core group for training the students.
Music competitions are scheduled on the days of national significance and importance.
CCA in X and XII is mostly syllabi based.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITY NEWS 2008
The School offers a wide range of activities and socially useful productive work.
Students paticipate in debates, elocution, skits, recitations and various competition within the organisation as well as in competition with other schools. Student have brought laurel to the Vidyalaya off and on in this regard.
